Abstract
Tenosynovial giant cell tumours (TGCTs) are benign soft tissue masses, typically found on the flexor surface of the hand and wrist. They are more common in males of middle age. The tumours are classified as common localized type (88%) and the rare diffuse type. Localised type affects the hands and feet and the tumour arises from the synovium of the tendon sheath. It is unusual for giant cell tumours to involve larger joints and to be intra-articular.
The present case is a 12-year old female patient with TGCTover left ankle, a rare occurrence.
