Abstract

Scleroderma presents great challenges to both medical and dental professionals and has a profound impact on oral health. Since the mouth is a mirror of the systemic health of the body, dental practitioners may be the first to note some of the signs of PSS. Manifestations of systemic involvement suggest an uncontrolled and poor prognostication for the medical management of this connective tissue disorder. A case of scleroderma presenting with interstitial lung disease 6 years after the skin manifestations is reported and the condition is reviewed.
